Moving at an Impeccable Speed

Life is moving by WAY too fast. Take the opportunity to hug you kids, let the dishes wait an extra hour, play ball with your boys, color with your girls.

Our daughter started her first day of college last Friday, August 26. Jadon, Cole & Luke are all in full swing in Fourth, Third and First grades. Baseball is in full force, we are into September and the shelves at some stores have CHRISTMAS decorations out already.

In Washington, my best friend Deena's oldest daughter, Danika officially moved out and is now living on campus at PLU in Tacoma. She is one driven individual and I am certain will accomplish anything she sets her mind to. I hate that I am missing it all. Makes me incredibly home sick. Morgan and Mary will be graduating in two years. If I don't get home before then at least I have that to look forward to!

Hope everyone realizes the statement "there is always tomorrow" doesn't always apply. Take the time to do those things today.

I'm out!

First Day of School

Today was Jadon and Luke's first day of school. Both boys did great and were excited for a new school year. Jadon begins Fourth Grade with Ms. Hampton who is new to Elder and JISD. Luke begins his First Grade year with Ms Loewe (known as Ms Lackey to us!) She was Jadon's first grade teacher and requested Luke in her class last year when he started Kindergarten. I am excited to hear how their first days went today. They grow up so fast!

Team USA vs Team Japan

One of the great perks of working on the Baseball Committee for BYA is the interaction we get to have with cool events like Team USA vs Team Japan. The Japanese baseball players arrived on Monday and we welcomed them with open arms, lots of smiles, food and SUN! Last night was game one of three. Opening Ceremonies we presented trophies for all the drills that were ran on Monday night. Team Japan and Team USA both came out winners in different categories. The highlight of my night was being able to chill on the field with Mark McLemore. MAC ATTACK was one of my favorite players on the Seattle Mariners team. He also played for the Rangers and currently works with the Rangers organization. He was so down to earth and we laughed about the different worlds of Texas and Washington. Tonight is Game 2. Looking forward to another great night at Chisenhall.

Already?

Well we began our last week of Summer today. We had an awesome morning at church and then Luke and I did a TON of coupon shopping. I love having little helpers and that my boys get excited over coupons like I do. LOL!

I can't believe Summer is almost over. How on earth did it go by so fast? I have thoroughly enjoyed every day that I have been home with the kids. Although sis was gone for over 4 weeks in Washington. It's great to have her home. All I can say is that THIS mommy is not excited for school to start. I love my kids and I love having them home with me to play games, go swimming, spend time watching movies, shopping, cleaning, etc. So, here's to hoping the next week doesn't go by too fast!

Raygen

Hey everyone! Bryden's little sister, Raygen, in Chehalis, WA has a blog so you can follow her status and her health updates etc. I think it would be a great way to stay connected so we can be praying for Raygen as she has more heart surgeries in the near future etc. H

Senior Prom

No.....NOT MINE! It was sis's senior prom this last weekend. She and Nick went with Hannah, Christian, Conen and his date. They had a blast. Hard to believe that she took off for her last prom, her senior prom...and next up is graduation. The prom was at The Sheridan in Arlington and then Project Celebration was at the high school. Many pictures, many smiles, laughs, etc. It was a wonderful night of memories for sis and her friends! Now we are on the downward spiral to graduation. The countdown is on!

Dallas Heritage Village

Cole's field trip to the Dallas Heritage Village was yesterday. We had a great time seeing all the old homes, churches, school houses, etc. We got to do a scavenger hunt finding facts about the historical homes etc. Cole had fun with his class mates and I really enjoyed spending the day with him!

What a SAVE

So who is that stud in left field that saved the game and kept the team in first place? That's my boy Jadon! The same stud who got a three run homer the inning before! What a game!! Tuesday night our team, Dodgers, played the 2nd and 3rd place teams...we had a double header. The first game was against the Reds which is the 2nd place team. Jadon got a three run homer in the 4th inning. In the 5th inning he was playing left field. The Reds had their best hitter at the plate and two runners on first and second, two outs. The batter hit a zinger to left field...Jadon was back at the fence but he snatched that ball and saved the game! He held that ball in his glove and he saved the game. I was coaching behind home plate and the dugout and I went RUNNING to my boy. I was at the third base line before he was! What a game. Coach Alan told the whole team that Jadon saved the game for us and kept us in First Place in the division! That's my boy!!!!!

Way to go Luke!

This last Saturday, March 26, 2011, Luke got his first home run! His coach has told him for the last few weeks that he can most definitely hit a home run...and he did! It was an "in the park" home run. His coach, James, was coaching third base and he waved Luke around to take home plate. Luke BARELY beat the ball to the plate but he crossed the plate and scored his first home run! He was grinning from ear to ear!

God is so good! I'm thankful he has blessed my boys with talent for sports. They will use that talent to bring God glory!

Catch Up!

Hello to all my blogging friends!

Yes, I'm horrid about keeping up with my blog, I know...I KNOW! It's mid March and SO much has happened in the first three months of twenty eleven!

Patrick returned home from Juarez Mexico with 14 other men from SBBC on a Missions Trip to build a home for a family in need. God did wonderful things in the lives of these men and the family the home was built for. Patrick's first time to go and he will definitely be going again, Lord willing.  Patrick had surgery on his shoulder, January 18. After wrecking a motorcycle SEVEN YEARS AGO the pain finally set in as the boys got older and the balls get thrown harder and further....He is healing very quickly and is in mid stream of his physical therapy.

Sis is entering her last couple of months as a senior at Joshua High School. Senior prom is coming up soon...dress shopping the next weekend I believe. Bryden has decided to attend UTA obtaining her Bachelors in Science in Aerospace Engineering with a Minor in Math. She was awarded $18,000 in scholarships from UTA. God is providing and we are so thankful and also PROUD of our daughter.

Jadon had surgery February 23 to drill open his sinuses and nasal cavity. He healed quickly from the surgery and has bounced back in epic proportion. He is tough as nails! His doctor said at his procedure this week that Jadon has about 80% airway open and within the next two weeks we should see a full 100% air flow in his nasal area. PRAISE GOD! The poor boy has never been able to breathe through his nose!

Cole is doing great in school. He has taken art classes after school for the last few months. He really enjoys learning different creative ideas and his work is really awesome~! Super proud of him.

Luke is still enjoying kindergarten. He is reading very well now and learning to write multiple sentences. Ms Herren which is Luke's teacher (and very close to Luke and our family) really raises the bar for her class and I'm so happy we got her as his teacher.

All three of the boys are in baseball. Loving every minute of it.

Me? I'm just being a wife, mom and friend. I am volunteering at the Pregnancy Aid Center and also at the boys school. God has been good and I'm thankful.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! December was a busy month in the Worley household. Kids got out of school Dec 23rd and go back this coming Monday, January 10. I have enjoyed my time at home with all of them! Patrick went on a short term Mission Trip to Juarez Mexico to build a house for a family of six. I am ready for 2011 and to experience my first full year of being a stay at home mom. God has blessed me (us) so much and I am thankful that He has given me the opportunity to be the caretaker of my home.
